About: Khichan is a small village for bird watching in the Thar Desert and it is 100 km away from Jodhpur. It has a unique story of conservation which was started by Mr.Ratan Lal Maloo also known as the bird man of Khichan. He started off this journey by feeding Pigeons, Sparrows, Peacocks, and Palm Squirrels. In 1970, one day a small number of migratory Demoiselle Cranes came to the place.
